automotive scholarship programs

bottom line: going to wyotec this fall. and this might help anyone else who's looking to get into the business too. does anyone know any good... or easy scholarship, or financial aid programs that will help pay for all this? i dont care if its 100 bucks, something to help curb that 23 grand for the first 9 months... and i dodnt mean student loans.

Check with a counsler there about grants. I don't know if this one does it or not put the most known one is the pell grant. Outside of that i dont know anything else.

Yep, check with Wyotech about scholarships available. I got several for the automotive marketing program I took, so they should definitely be some available for Wyotech as well.

Yeah man when I was gonna go to Wyotech I applied for a bunch of shcolarships(didn't get shit). If you go on their website there is a link to a bunch of places where you can apply for scholarships. Just some ones off the top off my head the Wyotech grant, SEMA, Craftsman, etc... Good luck. Just out of curiosity what campus are you going to be attending at? Peace-

its a toss up between laramie and blairsville... but im thinkin blairsville

You been down there yet? Blairsville is about as hicked out as it gets. The closest realitivly big town is Indiana where the University of Indiana PA is and there is something like 16000 students that go there. If you're looking for housing check out The Apartment Store really cool people, rent is cheap and places are pretty decent. They let me out of my lease no problem at all only charged me like 50 bucks because i found somebody to re-rent the place to. I just got a really scketchy vibe off of the wyotech people when i was there in october for registration. Good luck to you man, the program did look excellent. Peace-

I was thininking of Wyotech, since your looking at schools in PA you might get a better deal at Automotive Training Center in Exton,PA. I decided on a state school that has a very good program for auto, and is just 25 minutes from my house and about 10 from the barn where I've been riding at since I was a kid.

i was thinking about ATC too but i actually heard some bad things about it. (but its been 4 years so it could have changed). and one major plus about wyotech is the name... you say wyotech to about any dealership and they light up like no other. from what ive asked wyotech, UTI, and tenn auto diesel are the top names. and for some reason the name is something that carrys you sometimes. but back on this scholarship stuff. ive heard that you can talk to some bigger dealers, or even to ford, or chevy itself, and you tell them your plan, and if you pledge some time with them they will help, and some people even got help without pledging.
