Well as long as i can remember ive been a fan of the legendary rx7....
well as the title says i found one allthough its not exactly what i want...
i want it all rwd 5 speed rotary turbo intercooler posy traction
all id get is the first 3.. (right the na doesnt have the limited slip does it????)
it needs an alternator but is only 400 i think i can get it for 3 since its got a bad alt.
the apex seems to be good (runs smoothly no ruff spots)
its i believe an 87 but maybe an 88 does anyboddy know how the ecu wiring is???? would the ecu be plug and play for a turbo????? or would i have toi get the whole wiring harness
also i know it woulkd have the higher compression rotor in it but id bolt a turbo on it any way and run 93 plus additives to raise the rating up to 97 and run high boost only running 103 street blaze ......
but are both the blocks the same??? as in could i buy a header off a turbo and bnolt it on?????
most importantly is it limited slip
and the ecu is it plug and play happy?

Well. There's a major difference between the Turbo and NA Motors. There are reasons it is frowned upon to Turbo an NA, you cannot run high boost, nor can you really "bolt on" a turbo for it. I know someone who builds Turbo manifolds for the NA's if you would like I can hook you up with some information.
Plug and play.
The thing is 20years old. you tell me.
For 400 there has to be something seriously wrong with the car, you have to take a look at all your options with it. As I would never trust a 400$ working rx7.
For the ECU you would have to talk to the guy I know, I am not too sure.
I am currently doing a full blown swap on my 86 NA to TII

If it's a gxl then it has limited slip, that's the only s4 with limited slip.
Do a quick search in this forum and I'm sure you can find most if not all the information needed for a n/a to t2 swap or modification on the 6port engine(n/a) 4port is the turbo engine.
I'll try to post some more info if no one else does before me but I have massive keyboard issues at the moment.

lol my fc was $500 and its fine
only problem was a blown main fuse and now a vaccum leak

1) With a NA FC you will not be getting turbo or intercooled, but you may get a LSD depending on the model you pick up
2) Apex? There apex seals, there are 6 of them, then there are the side seals, corner seals, coolant seals. All these shoudl be tested, and the engine shoudl have a compression test before making the assumption that it is in good order.
3) No you cant replace a NA ECU with a TURBO ECU, they are not interchangable, you need a new wiring harness out of a TII to make that work.
4) You cant simply slap on a turbo onto a NA car. It will not work. Fuel management is a BIG issue. Just getting a turbo ecu in there will not do the trick. You need a much more sifisticated fuel managment to make that work on a NA. Turbo plus high octane gas on a NA wont do anything just end up costing you more to fuel a dead motor :P
5) Turbo cars do not have headers, TII's dont have headers, if they did it would be a header. But it has an exhaust manifold. And no there not direct bolt on. You would need to custom fab up a mounting plate or new manifold.
6) The blocks are not the same
7) Your post made my head hurt.
