on damp days, the clutch pedal goes to the floor, and you need to pump it for pressure.. so..
if the slave cylinder is leaking, should you be able to see that the clutch is wet through the inspection hole? and, why would the tailshaft of the transmission be wet? ...where would the leak most likely be coming from?

Hi,
If the slave cylinder is leaking, the fluid will seep out by the bell housing where it contacts the engine. It will not wet the clutch, as it is spinning and "sheds" the fluid.
It most definitely will not come out of the rear of the transmission, altho it may be blown back there by wind.
Be sure to check the master cylinder, they have a habit of leaking inside the firewall.
