Headlight switch help please.

I have a 91 Honda Civic EX 4DR 1.6, the problem I am having is that when I try to turn on my brights lights I don’t hear a click and my brights don’t turn on. They told me to replace the headlight switch and the brights should work. Is there a way to test the switch to see if it needs replaced?
