I run a flowmaster cat-back with a gutted cat. It pops during shifting when it gets real hot, like when sitting in traffic in a Miami summer. But in normal driving, it does not do it. I'm not sure if that is typical though. Flowmaster has different systems, mine is the American Thunder series, which is louder than some.
