I'm looking for TCS/ABS module wiring diagram (Pontiac Trans Sport SE, Dec/1995, with Airbag). The Service Engine Soon light is off, but TCS lamp come on when I start driving.
Does anybody know how Traction Control System works? OBD2 scaner gives one error code- "torque out of range" only.
Does anybody know how to manualy disable TCS?

Sorry for poor my english.

You can manually disable the TCS with a switch. The switch is located near the rear fan control switch, in the middle, under the radio.

I will have a look in my service manual an see if I find something for you.

Thanks, Niklas,
I have service manual too, but I want to disable or repair this option. The switch near the rear fan control switch only switches system on another mode, but not disable it. Maybe dear LMP have a wiring diagram?

Well, I am refering to the GM Factory service manual, which contens all wiring diagrams as well as charts for DTCs.

I guess you have read DTC P1571 Traction control desired torque out of range? with a scanner, reading from the PCM (powertrain control module)? In that case DTC 124 should be stored in the EBTCM (electronic brake and traction control module). I guess you have not scanned the EBTCM.

DTC P1571 indicates a problem with the desired torque input to the PCM. The problem is either a wiring problem, or a bad PCM. I can email a copy of the DTC chart and related pages if you send me your email address.

Thank you very much, Niklas,

my e-mail adress- [email protected]. Any suggestions, information or links from you would be great.
Just as you say- I have read DTC P1571, but I don't have scaner (interface and software) for EBTCM. Have you got it or wiring for it? I have got OBD2 wiring and software from www.pontiac-interface.de.

See you, Arturas

I have sent you an email with the pages from the service manual that I think will help you. Yes, I do have software also for the EBTCM (ABS with TC control module) and I will email this to you as well. The EBTCM is hooked on the same wire (pin M) in the OBD connector, so your existing interface should work.

Regards Niklas

Thanks, Niklas, but I don't receive your e-mail for the meantime. Repeat please to another mailbox- [email protected]. I know that my PCM (16183247) hooked on EBTCM by OBD connector (M), but I have software for diagnostic ABS control module ('91-'94) only. I'm waiting... Thanks
