I have a 94 Caprice with the 4.3L V8 and It has trouble starting, If I Push the gas pedal to the floor it will eventually start, once its running it works pretty good, theres a little bit of stuttering but it doesn't die. I don't know what would make it not start. I replaced the fuel filter and spark plugs and i was thinking it might be some kind of sensor any ideas?

well, my 88 had very bad starting problems and im thinkin on myn its the choke stickin shut and not opening when it is supposed to.ive sprayed the shat outta it and still no luck but check ur choke flap after letting it warm up it should be quarter of the way open and when ran for a while hot it should be all the way open.

Car has sequential port injection - not a carb. No choke. To me it sounds like either an injection problem or a weak fuel pump. If you have access to one, put a pressure gauge on the service port on the injector feed rail and measure the pressure. It should be no less than 55 PSI.

That will do it. Now since the car was being flooded with gas, I'd be on the look out for one or more of your convertors to fail....

and the oxygen sensor. Replace that too - those fail faster than cats do.
