Targa top

Has any one ever seen any one make the fiero into a Targa top... i was thinking that it would look awesome with the targa top. let me know what you think

B&B Spyder offered to build a targa top for the Fiero. I have seen several roadsters. www.v8archie.com is in the process of finishing a Fiero based roadster on his Fino kit with a V8 engine.

The biggest obstacle is reinforcement of the frame as the Fiero roof keeps the car from bending.

All it takes is time and money.

Does anyone have info on strengthening the Fiero space frame? Is there a company that sells a kit to strengthen the frame? I have interest in cutting the top off of my fiero. Charles

You can build an X frame support that attaches to the Fiero frame . The down side is once welded into place you no longer have access to the gas tank or fuel pump. Other heavier guage side rails can be welded in place along the Fiero side rails to support the car.
