overboring 3s-gte (question)

How to calculate WHP in relation to displacement? I have a table to approximate "targeted HP" vs. "injectors capacity"... but for even bigger injectors (1000cc +) how much overbore can be done to an iron motor like the 3s-gte so it can accomodate massive flows? what is the maximum capacity, and how to measure this? I kept reading about its "big potential" and I know its capable of delivering in the 800HP range.

If you want megga horsepower from a 3sgte engine, I wouldnt over bore it at all, you`ll only make it weaker...IIRC the max recommended bore increase is only about 2mm anyway so its hardly worth it, if you want a bigger displacement then get a stroker kit, but they arnt held in much regard either. you dont need to have bigger displacement to unleash the power available from a 3sgte, just a very well mapped engine, a BFO turbo ,huge injectors and deep pockets.

and deep pockets.
lol, that especially.

what do you mean it'll make it weaker? will adding dipalcement ruin its compression? the way you put it, it sounds so easy to max out the motor's potential.

If you are removing metal from the cylinder walls then you are making it weaker by making the cylinder walls thinner, it is not at all easy to "max out" the motors potential as you put it, you just dont need to increase the displacement, as it stands the 3sgte block is a very good set up, that dosnt need much tampering with. Nothing at all to do with compression etc...everything to do with cylinder wall thickness.
