Anybody seen this new product. It's supposedly developed by Audi. Well what it is is a clear bulb that flashes a yellow light. I'm interested in this just because I want to have clear corners and keep the cops on the other corner if you know what I mean. Any information please post it up.

It isn't just Audi that do these - I've seen a few different manufacturers of them. Never seen one work though, so I can't say if they look any good or not...

The bulbs you speak of are made by Phillips, and are called Phillips "Silver Vision" bulbs. Audi, VW, and a few other European companies will start offering these as stock parts. You can't buy the bulbs anywhere in the US yet... should be released here soon.

Anyhow, they are a yellow bulb with a silver coating on top which makes the bulb look clear through a clear corner lense, but when it flashes you see the yellow...

Hmmmm.... Phillips don't list the Primera (so I assume the G20 too) as a car these bulbs will fit :(

Speak of the devil.... I just saw an article in the August Sport Compact Car magazine. It's called the Miracle turn signal bulb and is made by Audi specialists at LLTEK Motorsports. Can't seem to find them on their website.www.lltek.com (http://www.lltek.com)

You can still see a hint of orange but barely noticeable.

Oops. Sent that one too fast.

Anyway, they cost $$. I paid 30 bux for a pair. Ordered them online. Check http://www.powerbulbs.com/svoffer.htm

The only thing is that you have to "shave" off one of the little "legs" on the bulb to make them fit.

What do you mean by shave off a leg. That seems kind of risky, especially when you deal with glass. You never know what are its pressure points.

Nothing serious. I'm talking about the little "pegs" that hold the bulb down. You'll see them on the side of metal part of the bulb near the bottom. It's what "clips" on to the socket. Just take a file and file it down.

G20RIDER, I have an extra set of SilverVision bulbs I can sell if you are looking to get some. They are still sealed and unopened, imported from England. They are the European bulbs sold by Philips in the UK and are not available in the USA. You can have them for $20 US + shipping. If you want them let me know quick, as I have a friend of a friend that is also interested in them but hasn't commited to buying them yet. If you get a hold of me first, you can have them.
