Lifter Question

Well i'll be rebuilding my motor, but bolting on the 120k heads back on. Will lifters be ok submerged in digestive carberator cleaner? I don't know whats on the inside of a lifter but just making sure there are no soft materials that will melt in the cleaner. Also, some of my lifters got nicked during removal, i'm sure it won't affect anything, but can I run mismatched 3rd gen and standard lifters? Thanks!
