jetta ac

i have a 2000 jetta , the ac wont kick on, freon level is ok, the compressor will run if jumped, anybody have any help with what it could be? i have checked and am not getting power to my compressor.

I'm gonna say it's because the compressor isn't getting any power? No idea what you're asking if you already know the answer.

uhhh.... did you check the fuse?
