I was wonder if someone out there in Aurora Land can tell me which one of the Crankshaft Position Sensors on a 1995 Aurora is the 24x one . I think I have them located (which is right above the oil filter). If someone has pics of this sensor or a pretty good description of where this is located I think I will see about slowly laminating my problems so I can tell what is bad and what is still good. Thanks In Advance!

Ok, I'm no expert, just passing on what the Service Manual says:

The crankshaft has a reluctor ring with 24 notches. As the crankshaft rotates, the notches pass both Position sensors & they create pulses that are sent to the Ignition Control Module so that it can recognize crankshaft position. The sensors are positioned such that the signal of sensor "B" lags the signal of sensor "A" by 27 degrees.
The Camshaft Position sensor also sends a similar signal to the Ignition Module in order for it to recognize camshaft position.

Quote from the book:
"Using 3 sensors allows the IC Module to maintain ignition synchronization even if one of the 3 sensors fail"

Position "A" sensor is located in the upper crankcase.
Position "B" sensor is located in the lower crankcase.

I thought there are only 2 sensors. Why is the manual mentioning 3? Is this a typo??
