Is there anyone out there who can give me a little idea where the DPFE sensor is on a 01 Ranger 4x4 - 3.0/6cyl??
Of course my "check engine" light came on just before I went in for the inspec.
I'm just trying to isolate why my vehicle did not pass the emissions test that the dictaorship of Mass imposes on it's drivers. New oil, filter, plugs and Air cleaner and the state has found yet another method if sticking it to me.
I have been told that it a flat box with two similar hose fittings that face in the same direction.
Thanks in advance.

On my 95 3.0 it's on the front of the intake. Follow the hose from the EGR, it leads to the DPFE sensor, also has electric connection.Good Luck!

Cost $50-$70. try to get plastic one instead of metal one. very easy to change, 2 hoses, 1 electrical plug, & 2 screws. Good Luck!
