si sway bar noise

I just installed a sway bar from a 00 SI on my 99 DX coupe. I also have a Apex WS catback.
My problem is now the sway bar is rubbing up on the exhaust causing a grating/screeching sound. I cut down the bolt that was the cause of the scratching, and it solved most of the problem, but when I hit a large bump, or make a hard right turn the sound returns albeit more subtley.
Anyone else have this problem? BTW I did a search and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for so I posted a new thread. Thanks in advance for any help.

It's just the suspension flexing. U might want to look into a aftermarket one such as a DC sport or something and maybe that will solve the problem. Good luck.

DC Sport swaybar?
Anywho, I have an Si rear swaybar on my '00 Civic DX coupe, and am looking to get the WS exhaust pretty soon here, what bold was it exactly that you had to shorten?

The bolt that connects the sway bar to the endlink. I cut it down almost to the nut but the scratching still happens everynow and again. I'm thinking that I should try to get the bolt down as close to the nut as possible.
BTW RedRocket I'm 100% positive the sounds I'm hearing (and things I'm seeing) aren't simply suspension flex.

I have an after market sway bar on my 97 civic and it use to hit in the same place. I had the muffler shop move the exhaust a bit over to give me the clearance I needed. I have not heard it since I had that done. Good luck. stefan525
