I need help. I'm looking for a BMW to race in SCCA events. I'd like a convertible, an inline six, and something for under $10,000. The further under that amount the better. I've done a little research and it looks like an e30 would be my best bet. Am I on the right track?

Sounds like for the cash you got, an E30 would definitely be your best bet. I personally am fond of the 325I, but that's just me, you might wanna look for a nice M3 or the like.
