I got pulled over tonight and they wrote me up 3 tickets.. bullshit...
ticket #1 - Enlarged Exhaust = $69.00
ticket #2 - Tinted Windshield, Opague Banner = $34.00
ticket #3 - Front Marker Lamps Blue = $34.00

that is all nonsence.
now the bumper will have to wait :(

Well, in the states. It is way against the law to have blue lights facing foreward on a car.

i can understand the banner, and the lights, but "enlarged exhaust" you have to be kidding me, that makes no sense, id fight em all, and just hope the cop never shows up.

damn id love to only have to pay 69 for my altered exhaust. They wanted 125 for it here, and I got an extension, then came back and told them I fixed it, and she believed me without even checking :hehe:

the banner sounds like BS also. The only one thats viable is the blues (impersonating emergency vehicle) I too, would fight them all and hope the cop doesent show

for the Blue Lights, put em back to normal and take pics, then, for the tints, exhaust, and other stuff, just take pics of another BLACK 88-91 HATCH and send all the pics with the tickets and write a letter of apology and say you had all the parts and that you took off the banner and say that you had no idea that it was illigal and that you fixed everything and you wont do it again. That worked for me twice!!! I got 150 bucks for the exhaust, 80 for the taillights, 50 for the blue lights everywhere, 60 for the banner, and these next two are so gay, 200 bcuks for a loud stereo (1000 watts RMS in Bass) and 30 bucks for sitting ghetto (all the way back)..... Yea, the bitch cop was P.M.S.ing or something..... Well, that was all on one night, and i did the letter thing and it worked, i got a letter back saying that all of the shit was dropped, i was like HELLZ YEA!!!! :) well, just thought you might be able to do the same thing....

I just got a ticket like a month ago for modifed exhaust....only had to pay like $50 i think. It was $163 total including running a stop sign :). I was gonna fight it but there is no real way to test the exhaust anywhere. i looked for info online but failed on finding anything...oh well

A few days after I got my 5Zigen put on the car I got stopped by the local Po-Po... not knowing what I did wrong I told myself I'll speak french to the guy (god love canada having 2 official languages and me being fluent in bolth) comes to my window... first words out of his mouth

cop-- your exaust is too loud

me --- I look at him puzzled

cop -- your exaust is too loud !!! can I see you license registration and proof of insurance ?

me --- I look at him for a second... and reach for the glove box and get the papers... and hand it to him.

Cop-- alright now you realise that the exaust system you have there is ilegal because it's too loud.

me-- (in french) I don't understand you

Cop -- what ?

Me -- (in french) I don't understand you

cop -- Do you speak english ?

me -- look at him puzzled

Cop -- *looking around in the car* your gonna tell me you attend the local university and don't speak english ?

me-- looking at him shrugging my shoulders

cop -- tell ya what I'll just write ya a 144$ fine, you will loose 5 points and we can call it a day.

me -- you can't do that (in english)

cop -- ha so you do speak english

Me -- yes I do however since you deal with the public you are obligated to be able to serve the public in bolth offical languages.

cop -- I don't need to speak french

me -- That may be so however you did treaten me with a fine and i'm sure (Crown Prosecutor) who happens to live on my street would love to hear this story.

cop -- You know (crown procecutor) ?

me -- yeah I grew up with his 3 daughters , Gillian, Monique & Stephanie

cop -- *nervous* just make sure you get that exaust looked at

me -- I did 3 weeks ago *pointing at my inspection sticker*

cop -- Oh Ok ! then have a nice day.

since then I never got pulled over... i usualy get pulled over once a month... nothing in like 8 weeks.

banner seems very legit too me, any banner in NY will get you pulled over.
