Folks,

Has anyone used this on a laptop with Jeep (Mine is a 1996)?

Also, do you know if it is OK to use just a OBDII to Serial cable like the one linked below (Item #10 down the page)?

http://www.digimotosales.com/shop/?shop=1&cart=37858&cat=1&noCookiePassThrough=Y&;

I want to be sure before I give this a try. I want to be able to drive and record info at the same time...

Thanks,

Bryan

I don't know, that place looks a little scarry if you ask me..

Would you plug your lap top into your PCM?

Do you plan on getting this?

LOL more I look at it the more I want it..

I downloaded the free software. The question I have is the cable itself. The cable shows a serial to OBDII interface that could effectively plug right in the same as you would a scan tool. However, some things I read mention something about an "interface" of some kind that is needed too, so I'm confused.

I just don't want to buy more than I need.

I think the graphic on this site looks like it will explain better what is going on.

It's to bad you have to use the interface, seems to me you should be able to just use your computer and a cable, or even a Bluetooth.

2006 is not what 2006 was going to be in 1980.
