cigarette lighter not working

Hi everyone,

A few months back my cigarette lighter lighter stopped working and I went and boought a new housing case cigarette lighter component and it fixed it for a while, however it stopped working again. I troubleshooted so far:

1.) fuse is ok
2.) replaced cigarette lighter housing component

I was considering rewiring it but I do not know how, can anyone help.
Does the two wires, one power, one ground go to the fuse box. Do these wires go else where? I just want to get the cigarette lighter working.
