Theres so many different cold air systems for sale on ebay. I was just wondering if its worth the money to get a k&n brand one or is it not really worth the money? Any other suggestions for intake for a 97 gtp??

K&N makes a good product. I have one from e-bay and it works fine. Make certain that you buy one that brings in cold air if you want the most performance. Most of the ones on e-bay aren't cold air units as they pull heated air from the inside of the engine compartment. Be selective if you purchase one. Also, besides K&N there are others available. Thrasher makes one and there are a host of others.

If you are willing to spend some cash for a decent CAI that definitely makes the car breathe better, then I would have to either recommend the Thrasher or SLP CAI. You can find the SLP on www.clubgp.com (http://www.clubgp.com), and find alot of other A/M goodies for the GTP on www.thrashercharged.com (http://www.thrashercharged.com) (specialized automotive engineering company that makes shiet for 3800 series cars!)

Stay away from the SLP box. It's shit, and gives you only a little more flow than ur stock air box. Go with a thrasher if you're trying to save some cash. If not, the wizair intake is said to be one of the best because it's completely sealed off from the engine compartment. This equates to colder air, which equates to more HP.
