The RX8 will probably be released in Japan even before we North Americans get it.
And yes, the Renesis rotary engine will support a turbocharger. You can probably expect gains of anywhere between 80-150 horsepower. Maybe more if you throw an intercooler into the mix.

The RX-7 MIGHT be coming back; that's all going to depend on how well the 8 does. That might not have a turbo on it, just a bigger rotary engine, maybe a 3-rotor. The Mazdaspeed 8 might not have a turbo either; if you look back at the FD3S, a lot of those 13B engines were demolished. Apparently, rotaries don't like to be boosted.

OK, what i have heard is that the new RX7 will still be 2 rotor, they will just extend the rotors 10mm and thus it will be a 15B, no turbo.
The Mazdaspeed RX8 is def not turbo.
A turbo rotor is tthe best thing in the world. ppl who dont know how to treat rotors are what has made them seem unreliable. Has anyone here heard of warming their car up? Well a rotor MUST be warmed up!!!!!
U cannot up the boost on a rotor without a new computer! Run it lean and bye bye seals!

alot of that had to do with a so-so cooling system and the really complicated sequential TT system they used that made the allready hot running engine even worse. the apex seals no longer run over the exaust port so that will help too, but pinging would still blow it.

I heard alot about the Mazda RX-7 coming back.
A remake of the Mazda RX-7, but with the 2 door style of the Mazda RX-8.
Read it in Newsweek, I believe.
