Hey everyone I'm trying to make my friend a believer about his 95 5.0, He currently has K&N air filter, Mac High Flow Cats, H-pipe, and 40 series Flowmasters. Currently with the setup he has, he describes the sound of his exhaust as a sleeper, quiet at low RPM's and Respectable at High RPM's. I suggested to him to cut the mufflers off and add a trickflow intake manifold. Do you guys agree with cutting the mufflers off to intensify the sound or not, and does anyone have a trickflow intake on a 5.0 and was there a sound difference? Any and all comments appreciated!!!!!!:evillol:

Well the Trick Flow will show a power increase, but I don't know how much it will change the sound. As for the mufflers, I would definately keep them on.

Absolutely not. It will be loud, but it will not sound good. The intake manifold wont make much sound difference at all. Headers, cylinder heads, cam, compression, midpipe, and mufflers will.
