Stunning work Andy, but there again we wouldnt expect anything less from u.
The bumpers, have they been stripped & repainted or is it the original chrome effect from the manufacturer. If you have repainted, which paint is it...?
well done, Mike :sunglasse

It's the Monogram kit from 1981 (I picked it up on ebay).

I didn't do too much to this one-it's pretty much out of the box. Emblems & door handles were shaved, I used Vauntage rims & brakes from Pegasus Hobbies together with Scale Auto Style Advan tyres and lowered suspension plus some extra detail to the engine. I wanted to keep things simple as IMO it's one of the best looking Mustangs.
Thanks
Andy

I agree: one of the best looking mustang for a super-clean modelling job and a great color choice: it's a custom mixed kind, Andy?

Hi Paul
Majority of time I just spray from the can - occasionally use an airbrush for their custom colours.

A beautiful build Andy. A 1:1 of that would look nice in the driveway.
One question concerning the Monogram kit as unfortunately I don't have the ability to get measuremnts from a real one. How accurate are the dimensions of the body? I have been told there is quite a difference between the Monogram, AMT and MPC kits.

I see you are UK based too - I'm curious to know what your proceedures are for paint layers and timescales are regarding drying and polishing times with Halfords. Have you just sprayed that this winter??? Pretty cold at the moment - not exactly good conditions for smooth paint jobs!!

I don't have any dimension info either I'm afraid - the box states it's 19.2 cm long (1/24th scale)but I don't have the other kits to compare it against. All I can say is that it looks fairly accurate compared with the reference pics I have. Sorry I can't be more help.
Cheers
