Check out Gulf GTR embroidery on rear of jacket! Sensational. Seller has some other interesting clothing items as well.

Damn! That jacket got no bids at all the first time he had it up but it was right before Christmas and I was spending all my money on other people... Probably never see another of those!

He had a matching hat as well as a Davidoff driver's suit and 2 other Gulf driver's suits.

The Davidoff driver's suit was pretty damn cool. Like others have said, I'm not sure I'd want to own used racing overalls though.

It wouldn't take much to buy a suit in the right colors, scrounge up the badges on the web or at racetracks, and end up with a pretty good replica. It would also be a hell of a lot cheaper.

I would rather try to find an original unused one (I realise this would be hard!) or a ready made factory replica.

Yes, but the cost differential might make it worthwhile for people to create their own reasonable replicas.

I fully understand, i used to work with printing and embriodery! The cost to make your own overalls customised with a quality design would be no more than about $100.00 (and i mean a "quality" design like the gulf jacket on ebay! including thread, and blank overalls)

ya, but its all about having an original... you wouldn’t like a McLaren F1 based off a Honda Civic would you?

The McLaren is special for some very specific reasons. Replicate those, and I wouldn't care if the name on the badge was Honda or Yugo. Same with the jacket. Especially if one has no connection with the original event that makes the jacket have any sentimental value--I don't get the point of spending 800 bucks or whatever on it, when you could get a good replica for 200 or less.

Have you priced a new Stand21 driver's suit lately? They're not cheap. You would probably spend close to $1000 just for a blank one plus embroidery. It's one thing to have a new coverall.. another to have a new 3-layer FIA SFI rated driver's suit.
