How hard is it to change the oil lines that go from the bypass to the filter on a 2000 Bravada? Are there any special tools needed to change it? Thanks.

No special tools required and not a difficult job. Dorman makes replacement lines and they are available at just about every auto parts store. They refer to them as oil cooler lines. Dorman's design is far superior to the original equipment. Run about $30 USD each.

The one that goes to the back of the engine is impossible without lifting the engine or removing the motor mount. The line going to the radiator is a much easier task.

I never noticed before, but my 92 show signs of small leakage. I assume you're talking about the hoses running from the block to the filter and not the rigid cooler line in front of the radiator.
Let us know how it goes, it looks like something I may need to do someday.

That's correct. The aluminum / rubber lines develop leaks at the crimp connections. Dorman manufactures a replacement part that is far superior to the original equipment. They're available at most auto parts stores. The link below is for the 4.3 "W" engine. The parts store will need to know the 8th character in your VIN, (visible on the left corner of the dash, through the windshield).
