What Do You Do? Where Does it Go?

I know there's been one of these before but it's always good to refresh memories. Basically what do you do for a living? Where does your money go?

I'm an emergency dispatcher for my county (when you call 911 or another help number) and a student. So far I can safely say 95% of all the money I've ever made has gone into the girls I've dated and been engaged to. Well, I'm single now and buying a new car so that's about to change :grinyes: .

I'm an Accounts Clerk for my dads accounting firm, mostly doing reconcilliations.


I'm a third year accounting student the rest of the year (Specialising in tax at the moment), probably get a job at either a big firm or a merchant banking firm when I graduate.


Most of my money goes toward models or saving for flatting.

Well I just graduated with a BBA specialized in marketing, and am looking around for a career job in my area (not easy, not a lot of jobs around here :(). While I look, I'm working at the business of a long-time friend - basically buy and resell telecommunications equipment and other electronics. Also, old stock that nobody wants is dismantled and sold for the gold, copper, and steel. Though I am looking for another job, I'm quite enjoying this for the moment, as it gives me a "break" from life while keeping money in my pocket. I never took a break between HS and college so I've always been busy on the go, it's nice to be able to have time to just hang out.

I keep my expenses to a minimum, but am paying (a miniscule amount) for board, investing, and saving most of the rest for a car...

I work at Menards...it's like Home Depot only different colors. All of my money since August is going into my "new(er) car fund" only after checking insurance rates on a few that I want it might end up being an older car.

I work at Safeway. Its a grocery store. I stock the shelves overnight, run a cash register, currently I'm trying to get back into the checkstand full-time due to my hours getting cut in half. My money goes towards mortgage, utilities, groceries, paying off credit cards. I usually have $50.00 to myself after I pay everything each month. Its not like I don't make decent money for a single guy.

I do quality control in a sawmill. Also operations/maintenance on the optimizing computers. I have a wife and three kids, guess where my money goes. :D

I've been selling cars for a little over 4 years. I've been dimisticated, captured from the wild and trained to obay the other half. My cash followed.

haha i need a guy like that. i work at petsmart as a cashier and i'm saving up all my money to move out in june. and for getting my own cell in april when i turn 18. money i don't save is spent at hollister. the only guy i ever spend money on is my best friend but other than him i'm a spoiled girl :iceslolan

I'm a full time student with a part time job working at the stadium here, and next year I will have a job working in the Civil Engineering labs here on campus. Currently my money goes into my audio addiction, right now I'm doing a home theater setup for my dorm room. The rest of my money goes into school, vehicles, fuel, and my shooting.

my money goes to school...in the summmer i go home and work for the BLM...that's right, i get paid too much to take a government truck out into the deserted mountains of nevada, break it, use your tax dollars to fix it, and then go out and break it again....i love my job! :ylsuper:

Full time student, dunno what my job in the summer will be yet. I will hopefully be getting a car tho, and my money will go into that. Right now its either getting saved up, or spent on food, with the occasional video game or random purchase

Mostly books. Then cds, movies, and clothes.

Food and gas also. Lots of money goes there.

About $1500 goes to rent, truck payment, tool paymets, etc every month. Then I'm still paying off the $2500 I spent on car audoi equipment for my truck. And still have about $1000 to pay off for that shitty US Grand Prix trip. The left over money goes to alcohol & music. That is all.

My last bit of cash went to Samurai Champloo DVDs. I'm lucky to be a spoiled little bitch so my mom pays for my car and gas. I ran out of money right as my car started to screw up. And to think i got a civic to save money...i passed up a white '91 Z-28 conv. for a dammed civic

Well, I graduated with an Associates degree in Multimedia and I was working at a nursing home to get me through college. But, now I'm finished with college and I quit my job at the nursing home so I'm living up the unemployed life for the time being. lol I'm actually in the process of starting two seperate companies with two different people. One as a multimedia company and the other as an advertising company.

All the money I did make went to my bills and then my car. Any money I make now will be going into bills and getting saved up for a while until I have enough money to live stable on my own. Then I'll dump money into my car again. lol

As far as the rest, I have no idea. I wish I knew.

My money goes to bills. The money that doesn't go to bills goes to music, women (or the pursuit and resulting care/maintenance thereof), alcohol, clothing, hot sauce, more bills... not necessarily in that order.

My money comes from my fathers firm that I work for. When I'm in the office, I look over interior design plans and look at properties/businesses to buy break apart/put together and resell... Where does the money go? HMM....Bills, clothes, and the car, as soon as I get a new one...

I work in the Wholesale parts dept of a Nissan / Infiniti dealership. Most of my money went towards buying expensive houses, toys, a shitload of clothes and shoes for the ex, a divorce lawyer, and there's some other stuff I can't remember. The rest of my money goes towards bills, utility, medical, insurance ect. Right know I'm saving my money for motorcycle. So far I have about 7 dollars... donations welcome.

i am 18 and currently under guardianship and living in Wi, i work at a garage. and i go to school at a little place called tomah high. all my money goes into things like gas and living expenses. i might save 50 bucks per check... yeah my pay sucks. i have experienced the sudden fall toward broke with some girl friends. so im staying single till after high school. this fall ill be going to wyotech in blairsville, PA my old stomping ground (then again ive been all over so lottsa states are my old stomping ground) i have put a lot of money into my zx2 which this weekend i just removed over 8 grand of thats in $. all my money is earned... no, my parents never bought me anything for my car... or my car, i paid for it all. take that you blood sucking leaches (you know who you are!). i do have a sweet heart named sarah down in kentucky, that sucks some of my money away, but its a good cause... i think. i just havent figured out a way to save money... or atleast make enough of it to not go in the hole every other paycheck.

I make 44k a year and i still feel poor.

Work at a Target store. Full time student. Money goes to cc bills, phone bill, gas, food, and useless crap that I don't need that I buy anyways.

I live payhcheck to paycheck. Because if I want something, and I can afford it, I will buy it. Then, whats left over, I buy small thing for my g/f.

I'm in sales right now, really good money in it. I make about 6 grand a month but this is only part-time until I get into the army as a Combat Engineer. My money goes towards my car payments, gas, insurance and then I help my parents with bills etc.. So 2 grand goes to billls, 2 grand goes to savings and 2 grand I give to my family (thats only 250$/mth for every family member...I have 8 of em :) ). I will be making less than half in the army but it's sopmething I know I will enjoy doing.

Presently, I mostly paint. Houses n cars. And I'm broke. Very very broke.

I work as a Systems Administrator for a small company. Just finished saving up for next school year's bill, and I have no expenses right now. I just invest a couple hundred each month into an IRA, and the rest is saved up towards an S2000.

dude, i live in Wi, and dont know where tomah is.....wtf..... its all about MKE...right now my money just piles up in the bank and the new shirt i get every paycheck. gas isn't a problem since charging people for a ride is the new way to go and gettin 20 bucks per 2weeks to drive back and to school everyday. i also sell cds for a dollar, 2 bucks for a mix, i guess you could say im spoiled, yet i dont ask for much from my parents...well, i guess you could say my money also goes toward whey protein and amino acids for gaining more muscle for football.....i can spend maybe 20bucks once in a while on a chic, but id rather not fall for i gotta buy u everythin type...other than that, i guess im covered...

I deliver pizza, until next fall when im going to school. Most of my money is put into moderate allocation funds and a roth ira(to help pay for school). Other than that i pay for my truck, cell phone, and a nice romantic dinner once a month for mine and my gfs anniversary.
