also if it would work on a b18a1 ?
and anyother parts i might need to swap on the oil pump ?

Well all the B16a oil pumps are the same, so no trouble with useing one from a USDM engine.
And I believe the B18c pump is also the same, but you can check that when you buy a B16a one (as they will have the same part number).

Do not however use one from a B18a or other non-VTEC B series engine. They run lower oil pressure, and it might not be good for the higher reving VTEC equiped engines.

how easy is it to swap a b16a oil pump onto a b18a1 motor ? is it all bolt on, no problems ? see i want to convert my b18a1 into ls vtec ready for when i get my b16 head. so i am not sure whatelse i need to make my block ls vtec ready, can some tell me that also ?

to swap the b16a oil pump on my b18a1, do i need the b16a oil pickup ? can anyone tell me everything i need ?

i would go with a gsr oil pump you cant go wrong i have a b16a2 motor right now and am running low oil pressure right now and am going to swap to a gsr pump, most of the time if its a b series motor it will fit on another b series motor like heads and things, and as if it is easy it depends on if its on the car or not cause if its on the car its a freaking pain cause you have to take off the whole front part of the motor including oil pan, timing cover, main pully with belts and takes a long time, if you have the time it will save you some money depending on the shop, i have to get mine done here soon and have been quoted anywhere from 275 labor to 550 labor, but if the engine is out of the car it shouldnt be that much of a problem.
