Lowered the blue one a little and swapped on some JADA wheels. They look OK to me. Not too toyish. I was trying to save the brakes off of the AA, but mission failed:(

Not that much lowered, but you can tell.

looks really nice. where have you been? i havn't seen you post in a while. how did you do the rim swap? i'm thinking about putting dubs on my aa. and you got the steering feature? like how do you do all of that. and are those still the aa brakes or jada? you said you tried to save them like did you have to remount a certain way or like did you have to put the jada's on. cuz those brakes don't look like jada.

I'm around. Usually post in modelling section though. I'm always browsing in here. I know I should have taken progress pics:( hehe..OK. The lowereing was very easy, just cut down some plastic on the shocks so the screw can still thread into them. I couldn't get the AA brakes off of the hubs without brakeing them. The ones on there are JADA. They just don't look like suck;) I could have had the wheels able to roll, but they wouldn't stay on the axles, so I superglued them down. The front suspension still steers. Thanks guys.

I jsut dont think AAs are the ones to modify. You lose too much

I hear ya G35. But I had 3 WRX, 2 wagons and one sedan. They were starting to look a little dull. They weren't at all that hard to change the rims. Believe me, I checket it out before I decided to mess with it.

Yea. I guess. You can do it to one. But i jsut dont like chopping up an expensive model.

Expert? hahahah!! I do like how you see things tho. Like, over in the modelling section..When someone decides to "modify" a super rare, super expensive model, that usually turns out like crap..and everyone goes..oh no!!!!! Yea. I see exactly what you mean. All it takes is patience though. If you decide to take something apart and it looks like it's about to break, STOP! Heh..The WRX, I studied the parts and could tell it just all unscrews. So there was no real messing around. And the lowering was an afterthought. I wasn't sure how the wheels would sit..too high. So I looked at what I could do. The shocks/mounts are screwed to the chassis. So I just cut off a few mm of plastic untill it seemed level all aound. Very easy. But yea, I wouldn't go f'in with the Maybach or like a mint car. That would be crazy...

Maybe i can do that to the AA Jeep Cherokee. Things wheels fell off. I should just glue on some spinners or somthing lol

spinners on jeep doesn't really go. jeep is like the only suv where if you want to modify it you should just lift it and put big tires and brush guards on it.

btw did you guys know that the new jeep grand cherokee srt-8 goes from 0-60 faster than my clk55? and all at 1/2 the price! i just think that is amazing. faster than cayenne turbo (not cayenne turbo s) i wish someone will make a diecast of that in the near future.

SRT8 is faster than the Range Rover Sport too. You guys are nuts. But I don't really like rims on anything unless it is for speed. Chrome rims look cheap to me. Just a snowflake design with brightness. So stupid. I can't believe people like them.

Me either.

Those Hemis sound pretty sweet. I rode in a 2004 Dodge Magnum Hemi and holy shit. Throw your head in the seat quick. And thisa wasent even an SRT8 Magnum!
