What colour are you painting the car? On the real ones the chassis was the same as the body, just not highly polished. Fujimi always state black in all their kits of this era. These molds came out in the mid '80s when most manufacturers of cars were pushing out more toy-like kits.

Looks good so far. I tried to build this once, but my friend insisted on stripping the paint with some sort of roofing material and the body melted!

sprayed the window panes and bumpers flat black
tomorrow will spray the body glossy black

Wow! Great progress you are making so far. I remember when I built this, I stipped paint twice. Out of frustration, I accidentally broke the body and ended up having to buy another one...

BTW, I wish I have that much time for building models...3 days and you have already stripped the body 3 times!

i am not kidding about the paint stripping
it's hard to get the panda trueno color perfectly. esp the bodylines. so i decided to do a red version
should ne nice ~!

Ended stripping the paint for the 4th time and settled with gold + black.
Here is the final product. Problematic parts are the fenders. i didn't notice i mask improperly however it's minimum.enjoy !

hi bro... i was like you when i did my first panda trueno.. in the end i spray the whole car body black.. in the end i threw it one side and bought another new model to re-do.. although it's not really very nicely done but at least i've did it.. a lot of masking needed.. i even look into the comics to see where's the black and white areas.. good luck.. hope to see the completed piece soon

anyway, i want to clarify something. is my window panes terrible? cause someone at msn just say : your window panes are terrible , you can't mask properly yet.....i know there are little imperfect but that's overlook...

bro it's ok.. it's not easy already... as you've stripped the paint 4 times.. you will tend to get frustrated so thus you will be careless.. overall it's very nice..
