I have a 92 Stealth R/T with the non-turbo DOHC engine. The original engine has been replaced. The replaced engine is from a Mitsubishi model. The engine has developed a miss in all RPM ranges. Have replaced plugs, wires, filter, etc. This fixed 75% of the problem. It still doesn't run right. I'm down to checking the sensors. Right now i'm checking the Variable Induction(VIC motor). On the 92 engine you can check to see if the motor is working by applying RPM's and see if the shaft turns(passenger side) on the opposite side of where the VIC motor is(Drivers side)located. On the Mitsubishi engine it also has the VIC motor but it does not have the shaft on the opposite side to check to see if it's turning. How does one check the VIC motor on the Mitsubishi engine? Just a note. I disconnected the two harnesses on the VIC motor and drove the car and it did not run any worse and it did not trip the Check Engine Light. Need your help! Thanks!
