Hi,

For last few days , when ever it rains the floor on the passenger end specifically the ones diagonally opposite to driver seat is getting wet .

I checked the sun rook it is not wet at all and also the rubbers holding the doors look tight and are not wet

Could it be possible that a drain/vent is bolcked which is causing the water to enter ? if so how to locate and clear the passage ?

the car is a 98 camry LE

Pls help it is making me restless when ever it rains :-(

All,

I checked the sun roof again properly and was able to locate the vents .. i poured some water through the vents .. and found that the water was flowing through and comming out from the below the cars near the front tires .. on either side drivers & passenger side ..

my question , Is this normal or the water should come flow out of the tubes at the rear end via the tubes which pass through the trunk ?

Pls help ..

Yes, The Japanese design their sunroofs to leak all the time into a ridge with a channle that channels any water down drains to the bottom of the car. This was done because noone cuold make a sunroof gasket last over time. Obviously, since it doesn't matter that it's nto a perfect seal - the gaskets will next to never wear out.

You need to take a compressed air gun & blow out the drain holes. They're located in every corner of the track. 20psi, then 40psi. The rear ones, without some inginuity & patients with hoses, are extremely difficult to blow out. Just do the front ones.

So the water is supposed to drain from rear or front ?
