i just bought a 1996 chevy camaro with a check engine lite on.
and when you try to connect to the obd2 connecter it says you have to connect to the vehicle?
how do i find the power source for the car?:banghead:

Bring it to a autozone. They will scan it for you for free.

If you are getting it pluged in and it says that check for 12 volt power at the diagnostic connecter.

the obd2 connection should power the scanner and there should be no need for an additional 12v power source (like pre-obd)
