I am going to build the bottom end of my b18c1, I am planning to go all motor and maybe use nitrous. I have decided on eagle forged steel rods. I am trying to decide between ITR pistons and Je 11:1 pistons. I understand ITR pistons in my GSR would give me around a 11:3.1 compression ratio. But are they JE pistons stronger and able to take more abuse or would the ITR pistons be fine. If i do decide to use nitrous im not talking about a ton, nothing over a 65. Also, this high of a compression ratio is safe as long as I run 93 octane gas correct? Thanks
P.s. would it be necessary to get a block guard? I think its worth the 117$ but would I even be close to needing one or are they mainly for turbo motors running high boost? Thanks

I think the ITR pistons would be ok but just to be on the safe side i would go with the JE pistons especially if you are going to run Nitrous.

use JE pistons since they are forged, which will be better against engine stress. besides, you have nitrous also, which makes it ideal for forge pistons. u would be safe with 93 octane. make sure you invest in a standalone engine management system (optional but highly recommended)
