Don't you hate it when you spend so much time on a model, you're almost finished, it's looking awesome, then you fuck up the windshield!? I was just maskin off the front windshield on my 3000gt, putting hardly any pressure on it, and it cracked all the way down the middle! GGGRRR!!! Is there any way I could get a replacement for it?

In any case, the only part of modeling i absolutly loathe is windshields. Any tips?

I hate windshields too...recently black seeped through the masking tape line on one of mine  I'd like to hear your tips too, because I suck on windshields...

Theres not much you can to im sorry to say....your best best would be to get hold of the company and see if they will send a replacement out to you.
Another way is to make a tint for the windows using the blank ends of camera film. Just cut it to shape and then stick it into place. Thats what i done on the model i built below.

Use Tamiya masking if you can as it does not take much pressure to get a good seal and it wont bleed paint under it.

mask with little pressure and then lightly spray some clear on the tape lines to seal it off.. then the paint won`t leak and the window won`t break.

If u go onto tamiya's website u should find a list of distributers. Find the one for your country and give them a call, ask if they have a parts department? If so they should be able to send u the part, this is what i do in the uk but im not certain that its done everywhere else. When i needed a replacement windscreen for my impreza the sent out the entire clear sprue with new masks - for no charge!

This idea sounds interesting...I might try it on my next project. Thanks :)
