Ah yes, the old Nissan Hardbody pickup with the KA24. Yeah, great power... :D

It's no Ford Lightning, I'll tell you that much. But, I suppose you could do something interesting with it. Same engine as the notoriously underpowered 240SX - underpowered until you turbocharge it, that is. The beefiest KA24 I've ever seen was in Sport Compact Car, and I believe the guy pulled 438 hp out of it at 22 psi. You could probably get 300 out of your pickup with a decent turbo and good engine management of course. Of course, it also depends on which engine you have - the earlier KA24E (SOHC) or KA24DE (DOHC).

I'd love to see a really fast Nissan pickup, though. I might just build one myself...

Hi ! I would like to know if a vg30e is quite easy to fit in a d21 pick up (1988)...
and what about the vg30de ?

Is there any engines that fit better in this type of truck?

I'm really getting bored by driving my slow ass 2,4L (z series)engine...

I'm waiting for your answer!!

I have a 1991 Nissan pickup with the KA24E engine, 5 speed. It's pretty slow but having the standard helps a bit... I don't care anyways it's a great truck, I'd recommend it.

Try the Spiral-Max(not pricey and fairly easy). I thought it was a bunch of hokum. But, for that money, I figured , what have I got to lose. It added the zip I was looking for and believe me I am the eternal pessimest.
