ok 1st time here, so im gonna be kinda specific if i can....
i have a 96 mitsubishi eclipse gs. im looking for 17's and to put on wider tires (the car came with 205's and 16 inchers). so, im not sure of the offset, and the tire size that will fit my car. ALSO... which may prove to be a problem.... i'm going to put adjustible coil-overs on my car inorder to lower the front 1.5-2 inches and the back 2-2.25 inches. so in recap, i need to know if 17's are okay, what tire size will be the largest i can have with the lowering of the car, and what offset i would need with those tires.
ps- i dont know much about this, but are there different sizes that reflect the profile of the tire, if so, i would like a lower profile
so do your magic luke, i really appreciate your help, you're cool.

For your Eclipse you would need either a 17x7.5 or a 17x8 with a 40mm offset + or - 5mm and use a 225/45-17 tire size. There are many wheel choices that would meet these specs and you can find them using the "Upgrade garage" link at the top of the page
