Installing overhead console??

Some of you may remember I first posted about AWD and ride quality issues I had in an Olds Bravada. I never got the ride I wanted so I sold the Bravada. One thing I miss and would like to get for this Jimmy is that neat overhead console. Is there a lot to installing one of these where there never was one? Are there mounting points required that won't be available? I'd like to get a salvage yard console and put it in here but not if I can't do it so it looks like it belongs there. What all wiring is required? I would think 12 volts, a speed sensor wire and something to tell it how much fuel you are using. Are these sensors already here and you just hook them up to the console or would you have to put the sensors in too? I would be trying it on a '99 Jimmy. Thanks in advance as always.

i put one in a 94., but it didn't have the fuel / mileage in it. had to get the temp censor but the rest of the wiring came with it. i think i gave around 50 for it. i cut the overhead light out of it and used the existing light to mount the rear, and i loosened the head liner and slid a 1/2 thick piece of wood in to screw the front to through one of the front compartments. hooked up the vss wire and the temp and was good to go.
