I have a 98 GTP and when I start it when it is cold, once in a while it will just die after it fires. When it happens the "TCS OFF" light comes on a stays on. I can drive it if I keep the RPM's up above 1000 RPM. No codes are being stored in the computer. Any ideas of what to look for.

To start clean the MAF sensor hot wire elements with electrical contact cleaner. MAF is located on the top of the throttle body held down by by two Torx safety screws.
Another item is the idle air controller (IAC) located on the throttle body. It is used to control normal idle and warm up idle. The pintle valve or orifice gets carboned up causing idling problems. It is easy to remove and clean with carb cleaner. After cleaning make sure pintle moves freely.
Also you may want to check fuel pressure at the fuel injector rail Schrader valve to make sure fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator and fuel filter are good or within specs.
