I just bought my third Caprice, an 89 Brougham. I had a 91 and a 94 9c1 cars, 91 was stolen and a friend blew my 94 up for me. This 89 is fresh from an old man's garage, has 74k on it. Where's the best place to come up with the chickensh*t little parts? I need stuff like the trunk emblem over the lock, a power antenna, one of the quarter panel wheel trims, etc...I'm sure more. I've had faster ones obviously, but this is the nicest I've had and I want her at premium. Thanks in advance for any help!!! rlo

I've found a lot of little items for my vehicles, like the ones you are looking for on eBay. Another place to check out is the flea markets that are part of car shows in your area. Also check to see if there are any local car clubs in your area that cater to vehicles of your interest. You can network amongst the members and possibly find the parts you want.

I loaned him the car when his died, for a couple days. I had put more than 100k on that car with smoke constantly rolling out of the wheelwells and never a problem. When he brought it back the motor was knocking. I should have kept the car and yanked the mill for rebuild, but I was so disgusted I offed her for 500 bucks. Thanks for the parts reply, I am hoping for a website though too---pipe dream?

I don't get the 57, real car or computer ride? Alcohol is for drinking, Nitromethane is for racing :)

If you're in SoCal or Phoenix AZ area, you can stop at a place called Ecology Auto Wrecking, they're guaranteed to at least have several cars to get parts from and the parts are cheap. A whole engine assembly complete with accessories and induction/ignition systems for $160 + $40 core charge - doesn't matter if it's a Geo Metro 3-banger or a freshly rebuilt, complete LT1.

Boy, I wish I was! Tell them to open an Ecology in central Ohio, ok? And c'mon, alky....you can't tell me that you have never seen that saying at a racetrack. What do you do on that crew, laundry? Well, no, you'da seen it on a t-shirt doing that, too.:uhoh:

EEeeeaassy, Hoss! Told you I was just joshing. And yes, I have. I have a dragbike now, I used to run a 68 Super Bee in the street classes. I build raceboats now, and my specialty is forced induction...of which I favor the ProChargers. The cover boat on May 99 "Dragboat" shows a twin Weind setup on a 572 inch mill that I screwed together. 'Course that's probably because I do consulting for R&D for them. To round it all off my F1 offshore boat held the world kilo record in 2000 & 2001. So yeah, I also walk the walk. It's just that I don't talk the talk until I need to. So chill!!!
