i bought this engine off of ebay, JDM 94+ Accord SiR CD6 H22A Full Engine Swap Package NR (8022682864). i did some research and the jdm accord sir 94-97 came with a h22. but on the engine block its written H22A. Which one is it? and whats the difference between the H22 and the H22A?

There is no H22, it's an H22a. The only other variations will have a number after the "a". Though there are different variations that are just labled H22a, similar to the b18c (where it could be the SiR-G or Type R engine). But I believe that engine is the same as the USDM one as far as hp and tq (not positive on that, but I believe so).

JDM H22's have a higher compression, and 220 hp instead of 200 I belive.
H22a = JDM
H22a1 + 4 = USDM
I think I heard of a H22a3 with is a euro version.
Also I think the H22a2 is the one manufactured in canada.
As always, correct me if I'm wrong.
Nice setup.

Only the Euro R and the Type S have 220bhp, most of the other jdm/edm version have 200bhp, and the UDSM ones only have 190bhp. But from what I can see (searching online) the Accord Sir only has 190bhp like the USDM ones. I could be wrong on that, but at the most it has 200bhp.
