alright i narrowed the problem down on my 91 olds 98, it has something to do with a part attached to all the vacuum hoses. it feeds into the fuel rail and the pcv. it seems to be some kind of pressure regulator. i'm pretty sure it's this part cuz everything else is working. the gas is getting to the engine and all the spark plugs are firing. there doesn't seem to be enough pressure to fire the injectors though and the part is attached to the fuel injectors by the furl rail. it's on the top of the engine toward the back. i have no idea what it is and i can't seem to take it out, something seems to have it snagged down in the socket it's in. can anyone tell me what this is?

A picture would help tremendously but it sounds like the fuel pressure regulator especially if it is connected to the fuel rails.

Agreed. The part sounds like the pressure regulator. Do you know for sure the fuel pump is holding enough pressure? You might have a weak fuel pump . Test the pressure by turning the ignition on but don't start it. If the pressure is low or doesn't hold for very long, it could be the pump.

i still don't know how to get the regulator out. i'm told it's just supposed to pull right out but it doesn't seem to be coming out like that. any ideas?
