2001 maxima vs eclipse turbo

today me and some homies are going to race a friend who has 1996 v6 accord automatic we already know that we will beat him but our friends friend has a 1996 eclipse gsx or gst i think 5 speed manual and its a convertiable.He already said that the eclipse will beat us what do you think.The maxima is a 2001 special edition limited thats what it says and has all options everything came up to 40,000 grand when he paid for it so its pretty heavy but i think its fast so what do you think

If the eclipse has a conv top then it is not awd. and as long as he doesn't much done too it you should take him no problem. It just depends on how much money he has put into the thing.
