Help....Transmission Problems 98 GT

Tranny only starts in 2nd gear when in Drive position, when I manually drop the shifter down to 1st gear, the car will slowly move but when I give it gas the tranny locks up. I already replaced the TR Sensor, TPS Sensor and Speed Sensor. Has anyone experienced this type of problem before? Does this sound like I need a new tranny or can this be repaired at a minimum cost?


Contemplating on taking my car to a Ford Dealer or Aamco for a diagnostic check? Any suggestions?
