GTP vs. Eclipse GT

I was sittin in a parking lot with some friends and i see a GTS come up to a light... I figured i'd see if he wanted to run and i got in my car and got behind him... the light turns and he turns left onto the highway and punches it (didn't wait for me to make the turn... i hate that shit) so i gotta play catch up on him. I really didn't think he would be as fast as he was, we ran out to about 100 and i had gained only a little bit of ground. We stopped at another light... this time i was in front. Light changed and i, being the nice guy i am, didn't just take off. He got ready to pass me ( i wanted to get him to go on 3 honks but that wasn't gonna happen) he takes off again and i just wait till he is even with me and hit it goin about 50. He pulled for a second or so because he had so momentum and then he slowly fell back. By about 100 he was about at my rear bumper, 110 about a car back and by 125 he was a good distance behind me. I have to say, i was kinda surprised, i didn't think he would give me much of a race (i hope he had at least an intake or somthin cuz stock, my car should have owned him) anyway, it was a fun race, he just ran out of top end and i didn't haha...

the GTS also comes with like 5 or 10 more hp then the GT models if i remember correctly.

And the GTS isn't as good to boost as the GT.

features, intake plenum (equal length runners), variable intake timing (early mivec i suppose) and a 10:1 compession to the GT's 9:1 gains a whole 10hp at the crank... ugh

and go CASSIE!!! woot, the GT's are better to boost, GTS ones you have to change the pistons first

Seriously, intake or not, the difference would have been negligable. The top end on the GT is pretty impressive, I believe thats where its strongest. Supercharger vs NA though, I'd expect you to have destroyed him right?

and what's all this supercharger v na bullshit? who cares? my car's n/a and it makes 15 more hp than a supercharged GTP, weighs 300 lbs less and comes with a standard tranny. FI's helpful but it doesn't mean the car's automatically faster.

For everyone who thinks a supercharger automatically makes your car fast...

Yeah, he popped me in the mouth when my hands were full, then as I picked up a paper I dropped he gave me a cheap shot in the side of the face. Oh well, I straightened up, got mad, and he backed off and started apologizing. My boss saw it all and called the police though; they're looking for him now. Good times, good times.

isnt it texas, i think they are allowed to shoot if someone illegally enters your property too with no questions asked. Anyone from those states in the forums that can clear this up?
