I hate to seem like a jackass, but being young shouldn't be an excuse. I mean, I'm 14, Mschttk is 13, SBAlex iis 13/14, and everyone is different. Honestly, I think it has more to do with how long you've been drawing. It sounds much better to say, "I've only been drawing for ______ seconds/minutes/hours/days/weeks/months/years/decades"

Anyway, you're drawings aren't the worst I've ever seen, but again, perspective before detail. That's a mistake alot of guys make, like I did. Work on the outline of the car BEFORE filling in the details, or just leave it at the outline. It'll help in the long run. One of the main things alot of guys get depressed and quit over is the fact they can't make a photo from their pencil. It comes with time, and trust me, I've been there. I almost quit, but then I realized it's gonna take time to get better, and even more time to look real. Take your time, and don't rush everything at once.

That is all,

Pretty good, there aren't any major problems; you have got the basics down fairly well. The skyline is my fav.

Hope to see you progress!

Hey, thanks guys. I'll keep all that in mind next time i give it a go, HONU... coz you're right, i usually start with the headlights and then kinda do the bumper, and work from there...i never do the outline first. and i've been drawing for little over a year, i think, but only very casually. i just started drawing more in the last week or so. but yeah, thanks heaps.

btw, how long have you guys been drawing for?

Do what you're most confortable with, there is room for improvement when drawing your car in any order. If you are comfortable drawing the headlights and then go from there then keep doing that and you will improve. However, I personally find it easier to do an outline first.

I've been drawing "things" since I was 2, but I've drawn cars for about 5 years.

I've been drawing for my entire life, but I've been drawing cars specifically for 3 years.

I've ben drawing since someone gave me a pencil. Though there are kiddies like Alex who kick my ass. :shakehead

Some improve faster, others don't.

I like your skyline very much, it's a hard perspective I think. On the evo, there's one main problem, it's the A-pillar. On a usual sedan on an E-Class aswell as on an Evo, the A-pillar goes straight into the front wheels axle. What??

Take side views of some sedans, grab a ruler and draw a line along the A-pillar (that's the first pillar where the mirrors are placed) you'll see that your line will, in most cases, will go straight towards the front wheels center. So, at yours the A#pillar would end more at the front end, like at a van for example. Correct that and you'll have a nice drawing.

Keep it up!

your drawings look pretty good. Not much other advice I can give you from what HONU said. A good way to start is doing very simple lines for planning out how long the wheelbase is, getting the width and length of the car correct, making sure it's not too stubby, long, wide, narrow etc. Another good thing about doing this is that you'll know exactly where it's going to be on the page, and that you won't run out of room on one side of the paper or have the drawing way off center

If that ^^ is a major concern, draw a dot for the longest point on the car, then go to the other side, and repeat. Works well:)
