I need to beat a stock 89 Accord.

And I'm thinking I'm going to get a 92-94 eclipse.

What would I have to do to it to be able to beat a stock 89 Accord.
My friends daddy is getting him a car and I have to get one on my own that can stand up to his.

But if a 92-94 eclipse won't beat his Accord in speed, I won't worry too much, Eclipses look a LOT better then Accords.

And by beat him I mean I want to be able to out Drag him, or just have a faster overall car.

Anyway I'd like to know what you people think about 89 Accord vs 93 Eclipse.

And keep in mind he probably won't be modding his car.
