A few Questions

1. Whats the fastest way to get the fuel out of a fuel tank without burning it in the engine, no screw driver holes either.
2. I have an oil leak near my oil pan. I have the suspicion that it is indeed the oil pan, but a few people have told me it may be the seals. I had some tranny work done, and the guy said something about replacing one or both of the seals. Any suggestions on which to replace first?
3. My temperature guage is screwy. I took the dash appart a while back and reset it, and it worked for a little while, and then suddenly went off the meter. Any ideas?

well the easiest way (takes a while though) i found to get most of the gas out is to disconnect all of the fuel lines and the return line works as a siphon... put a bucket under it and it should take all but about 5 gallons out.... worked for me.... otherwise you could try sticking a long piece of tube down your tank neck and siphoning it that way

1) Cuda covered
2)Most definatley the front and rear seals, all SBC motors leak over time. If they had the tryanny out, then would have the opportune time. The rear can be done with the trans in (depending on type of seal the motor uses) but it's not fun.
3)You mean during bulb check, the gauge pegs out into the cluster? Also about as common as the oil leak. First make sure your wiring from the sender is ok, sender is the one between cylinders 1 and 3. If that checks out what I've done is pull the dash out, mount a small paper clip and descretely bend it over the top of the guage to act as a stop. A little black sharpe and looks factory and works, you just need to put it right before the needle would get stuck other wise it may off set the guage.
