oil level indicator

My digital oil level indicator is acting weird, sometimes while cruisin down the highway it will drop to nothing and then just all of a sudden go back to the middle, were do i check to replace this? near the oil filter? i started to see a small oil leak in the pass side front corner of the car right under the oil filter kinda, it actually drips right on the catylitic converter. havent looked under it yet but hoping to have some ideas once i do get under there.

I bet every once and a while you get a check DCL light also

I got the same thing, Oil level and check DCL but it kinda comes and goes, Ill fix it when I get to it since its no big deal.
