Does anybody know why when I upload photos onto photobucket.com they always seem to come out a lot smaller in size when I put them into a thread on the forum. Is it something to do with the resizing.I noticed that some peoples pictures are quite large in comparison to some of the ones I have posted.Do I need to change the quality settings on my camera etc? I normally take the pictures on 1 mega pixel but the camera can take pictures on 5 mega pixels. What's the best setting to use for photos on the forum?

erm its something got to do with your picture size (as in . in KB) photobucket auto resizes the pictures to fit in a 512kb file i think... thats the reason for a smaller picture? lowering the megapixel would help to make the picture size (KB) smaller.. or just change the setting on your camera to a smaller resolution maybe? i hope this helps!
Cheers :)

Most 'free' photo hosts limit photo size. You need to read their TOS (terms of service).
You can shoot your pix at the max resolution of your camera, you should then crop them and edit for image size (4x6,5x7 or so) then save a copy with a 'quality' that gives a image size below 80k (for most hosts).
