recall on 1995 Tacomas

Is there or has there been a recall of '95 tacoma trucks for ball joint problems?
I didn't buy mine from a dealership, from a private owner instead.
Around Thanksgiving of 2005, the right front wheel snapped off my Taco as I was leaving the local mall parking lot with no warning, breaking my front axle in the process. Ended up having to replace both ball joints (the left was showing signs of wear/damage and was told the same thing would happen again if it wasn't replaced) and front axle. Along with towing and all repairs done,we're talking a pretty hefty bill, I must say.

Yes, there was a recall for ball joints on 95 Tacoma's
